There was some sad news yesterday as Team Rock went into liquidation with the loss of around 70 jobs across the UK. A good number of those are based with the games team in Scotland, whom we know well. With only a few days to go until Christmas, staff have found out they will receive no pay this month which quite honestly sucks. Badly.

Tag Games are delighted to announce the US launch of Ballarina, our latest title commissioned by Nickelodeon! The game features in season two of Nickelodeon’s successful Game Shakers TV series, a teen sitcom starring two girls who run their own game development studio. Ballarina is the latest in a line of games featured on the show to make it into real-life app stores and is now available on iOS, Android and Amazon devices!

We've been filling up on shortbread at Tag Towers today as, like the rest of Scotland, we celebrate St. Andrews Day 2016.
Us Scots have a fantastic and ever-growing game development scene especially in our hometown of Dundee, but we couldn't help but think that Scottish characters are a little under-represented in games themselves. That in mind, we trawled the depths to find three of the best (maybe worst in some cases) so you don't have to.
