Feeling Strong is a Dundee-based charity, led by a team of young people whose ambition is to improve the lives of other young people living with mental health and wellbeing challenges.
This year, in particular, has been extremely tough for so many people with restricted social interactions, disruption to daily routines and general worry about these uncertain times.
Prior to the global pandemic, Feeling Strong had been delivering a series of activities and projects designed to foster the skills, confidence and aspirations young people need to flourish and tackle the disparity they face in unemployment, underemployment and access to further and higher education.
The nationwide lockdown required a pivot in approach and the team have since moved much of their activity online, offering services such as mental health drop-ins through digital means instead and providing lots of mental health resources which are accessible through the Feeling Strong website.
Mental health and wellbeing is a subject close to our hearts, and we wanted to support Feeling Strong in this ‘new normal’ by donating some equipment that will hopefully assist in the continued safe delivery of their activities and projects online.
Marla Heier, Research and Content Coordinator at Feeling Strong, said "we are incredibly grateful to Tag Games for providing us with our five brand-new Feeling Strong laptops! Now that we all have that digital access, we can not only work remotely and stay safe but we can also be more responsive to our service users."
Marc Williamson, CEO at Tag said, “When Feeling Strong reached out to Tag, I immediately wanted to find a way to help. I love their mission to assist young people across Tayside. Knowing the struggles all businesses have been having during the lockdown, it was a pleasure to be able to support them with some vital equipment to help their cause”.
