In the first year we started with three of us and we self-funded from credit cards/loans and got a couple of own IP titles out the door and as widely distributed as possible. This was possible because we had a team comprised of a coder, artist and designer. We did have some contacts but to be fair we have been entirely in development up until that point so none of us were very business minded or connected. Anyway the own IP games built a reputation and proof of ability to deliver - even if we only did a tiny amount of sales in that first year! Back then it took around 12-18 months to get revenue back from network carriers via publishers/distributors/aggregators and thats if you got anything at all, so we had to have staying power from day one.</description>
