Level Designer
We are pleased to offer a short term Level Design role at Tag working on a very high profile and exciting action/puzzle game based on a global sci-fi property. The level designer will lead the design and implementation of the game levels, working closely with the other team members to ensure that each level is true to the creative aims and objectives of the game and meets our demanding standards of game-play and presentation.
Whilst the position is initally for a fixed term we expect that subsequent to the successful completion of this project we will be in a position to make it permanent. Therefore this role could offer the right candidate a fanastic opportunity to either develop, or begin their design career with a talented and very ambitious team.

Candidates will ideally have some games industry experience in a design role but we are pleased to accept candidates will no formal design experience who can demonstrate they have the required skills. You must be educated to degree level.
Quality Assurance Lead
The Quality Assurance lead role is a fabulous opportunity for the right candidate to take their video games industry career to the next level in a rapidly growing and ambitious game developer/publisher. The QA Lead will take responsibility for quality assurance on a number of small to medium size projects. The role will involve working closely with the studio manager and production heads to build an internal QA team with process and personel to ensure that our games ship on time and to the very highest standards, each and every time.
This wide ranging role will include both high level strategic and management tasks along with hands on quality assurance. We expect this role will suit a flexible and multi-talented individual that may wish to use this role as means towards a future role in production, design or the management of a larger QA dept.

Candidates will ideally have a year or more of QA experience, preferablly in a lead role, and be educated to degree level.
Junior/Graduate Game Artist
The Junior Artist will be a highly talented and motivated individual with outstanding traditional art skills. The role will involve the creation of art assets for both 2D and 3D games and therefore a working knowledge of industry standard art creation software is required.
The Junior Artist must work closely with other team members to ensure high standards of game-play and presentation are maintained across each project and show both ambition and good self management skills.
- Outstanding traditional art skills and drawing ability.
- Strong ability in 2D pixel art and 3D modelling and texturing.
- Experience with the standard software tools used in the production of both 2D and 3D game art.
- Animation, lighting and rendering skills a distinct advantage.
- Self motivating and ambitious personality with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to work both individually and in a small team.
- Basic understanding of game design and development.
Candidates will ideally be able to show work in both 2D and 3D and hold a relevant qualification in the visual arts. No previous games experience required.
Junior/Graduate Game Programmer
The Junior Game Programmer will be a passionate and skilled individual with outstanding skills in a variety of programming environments. The role will involve the development of downloadable games across a variety of platforms including iPhone, Android, J2ME mobile, PC and console and therefore an understanding of development in J2ME and/or C++ is required. The Junior Game Programmer must work closely with other team members to ensure high standards of game-play and coding standards are maintained across each project and show both ambition and good self management skills.
- Good degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Knowledge of development tools and techniques relating to game development.
- Experience of game development using J2ME and/or C++.
- Experience of objective C / iPhone development a distinct advantage.
- Experience of action script/ flash game development a major plus.
- Strong maths and 3D programming skills a distinct advantage.
- Ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of game design and development.
Candidates will ideally be able to able to provide both 2D and 3D game demos. No previous games experience required.
